Meet Chris Anderson creator of “Curby’s Closet.”

“Curby’s Closet” is a representation of my love for vintage babies, dolls and their clothes. The history of these specially crafted pieces stirs emotions in me of times and places long past. I guess I am quite a sentimental gal! I have always loved to sew and get such pleasure from restoring, refurbishing or reusing these precious little baby clothes. I just hate to see beautiful pieces of the past unloved or unused.

As my love for the vintage baby clothing grew, I got the idea to design and make my own baby shoes to go with them. I have always loved quilting and so I decided to make them from sweet, fun quilted fabrics. The baby shoes have been quite a success. And moms and babies just love them!

Soon after, I was encouraged to make the baby shoes into a pattern. Now any one can enjoy the thrill of making these sweet little shoes for themselves. They are “Too cute to kick off” you know.

All this has been a very exciting and unexpected journey for me, but so rewarding. It especially warms my heart to see the sweet, adorable babies wearing them.
